About Me
Hey, I’m Tyler.
I am interested in technology of all sorts. Have a history working at a (mostly W)ISP and doing IT work, as well as splicing, and configuring the hardware for fiber optic internet.
I’d really like to advance my skills in programming and start contributing to open source projects.
Currently I’m learning Go, Ruby, JavaScript as well as working on my HTML and CSS.
Thanks for checking out my blog. I also have a GitHub.
You can contact me here, using GitHub Discussions. Or, my name @ this domain.
Happy Coding :)
About This Site

I’m quite happy with this build for a blog. I got tired of self-hosting a blog with Wordpress and dealing with the constant bot attacks. Wordpress is a bit overkill I think if all you want is a static blog.
My Setup
Update 2026
I still run linux on everything…I don’t have a single instance of linux mint however. My main desktop and server run Debian, however I’m kind of getting sick of the outdated software. My laptop triple boots Debian, Arch, and Gentoo. Gentoo is what I mainly use on it. I put Debian to manage grub because its stable and easy. Although after having all 3 on there for awhile…I would probably be happy with just Gentoo. It has definitely become my favorite flavor of linux these days. Give me a few months, I’m sure it will change.
I was on the hypr train for quite awhile, but I’ve recently hopped to the Niri train and am really enjoying it so far. Honestly I love hyprland, but I got kind of sick of my config breaking from the constant updates. I’m new to Niri, so we’ll see how it goes. But for now that is mainly what I am going to be using I believe. As always, you can check out my dotfiles.
Old News
I run linux on all of my computers. Mainly Ubuntu. I have tried all sorts of different distros and always end up back at Ubuntu. Currently on my main laptop I use Ubuntu 20.04. I now use Linux Mint as my main distro, with i3wm, and all of my editing/coding is done with vim. You can checkout my dotfiles.
